Lord Botetourt completes Blue Ridge District tournament sweep

  The Cavaliers took home all the team hardware at the Blue Ridge District Finals last night. Rick Alderman led the boys to a win over regular season champ William Byrd after a pair of losses to the Terriers, Rick Alderman led the Cavs with 25 and was named District Player of the year.  The final score was 51-43.
  In the girls matchup, Lord Botetourt was the regular season champ despite splitting a pair with finalist Northside. On this night the Cavs pulled away in the third quarter for a relatively comfortable 55-41 win. Grace Blaylock was named Player of the year.
  In other District finals action, the William Fleming boys claimed the Western Valley over GW Danville by a 48-45 decision.  Franklin County upended Patrick Henry for the girls title. And Pulaski County’s girls finished up a stellar run with a 53-39 win over Blacksburg for the River Ridge Girls title.
