REDSKINS CAMP: Daniel “Chasing” his NFL dream

In college, Chase Daniel got regular national exposure on ESPN, and was thought of as one of the top quarterbacks in the country.

But when the NFL draft came around, many teams had questions about whether Daniel’s impressive stats at the college level were more of a product of the offensive system that he played in.  Daniel did not get drafted, and signed as a free agent with the Redskins.

Daniel hopes to follow in the steps of former fellow Heisman finalist Colt Brennan, who created a buzz among Redskins fans last year after several strong pre-season game performances.

I talked with Daniel, and head coach Jim Zorn at Redskins training camp in Ashburn.
