You won’t see a popular local golf Club pro teaching for Ashley Plantation anymore.
Chip Sullivan tells WSLS that the golf course laid him off. Sullivan says he was called into the office, and was told that Ashley Plantation could no longer afford his position. Sullivan adds that at one point, the management of the golf course want him to become director of instruction. Sullivan implied that may have meant taking a pay cut.
Samuel Camp, General Manager of Ashley Plantation told WSLS that Chip was “pursuing career options.“

Yes, sir this is seriously a news headline; and your comment on the subject shows your lack of knowledge. Chip Sullivan brought both recognition to Ashley Plantation and the Roanoke Valley as a whole. Though his presence at Ashley will be missed I’m confident he will find work teaching elsewhere in the Roanoke area. His knowledge of golf is unparalelled and golfers at Ashley will miss him. He was an inspiration to young golfers. He is a great teacher and player and his laying off is not the answer to economic strains. Best of luck in the future to Chip Sullivan

Is this seriously a headline on this news website? Is this some ploy for him to receive job offers??
