Roanoke Co. golfer hits hole-in-one, wins new car

A Roanoke County golfer wins a new car by hitting a hole-in-one!

Bruce Lupton sank the shot this past Friday, in the New River Valley Shrine Club Tournament at Draper Valley Golf Club.  Lupton is a member of the Roanoke Valley Senior Golf Tour.

Bruce teed off on hole #7, a 175 yard, par three.  The car he won is a 2008 Buick Lucerne, with an estimated value of $28,000.

Bruce says in an e-mail that he quote, “Hit the sweetest 6 iron you ever saw and won the darn thing.“

This is not Bruce’s first hole-in-one.  He says it’s his second in the past 13 months.
