    In dominating fashion, E.C. Glass’ boys and girls track teams swept the Region III meet, held Saturday at Turner Ashby High School.

    Jefferson Forest junior forward Ashlie Freeman carried the weight of missing a golden scoring opportunity in the Cavaliers’ first meeting with E.C. Glass, a one-goal loss at City Stadium, for half a season. Friday night on the same field, in the Seminole District tournament final that also determined the regular-season champion, Freeman netted the game’s first and last goals on spectacular shots to help JF (16-1) defend its district titles decisively, winning 5-1.

Sellers won both Late Models races in Saturday night’s Halifax County Powers Business racing program and moved to within five points of the track points lead.
