Former Virginia Tech golfer earns PGA tour card for 2009

For finishing in second place on the Nationwide Tour’s money list this year, former Virginia Tech golfer Brendon de Jonge earned his PGA Tour Card for 2009.

The 2003 Tech graduate won his first career Nationwide tournament at the Xerox Classic in Rochester, N.Y., in August.

He played on the PGA Tour in 2007 before returning to the Nationwide Tour this season.
