Week 3 post game notes:

Brookville 14, Salem 0:

Spartans:First regular season home loss for Spartans since William Byrd in 2003. First shutout loss since Brookville in 1996. Salem had too many key turnovers again. The passing game just wasn't there this week.
Bees: Beat Amherst County and Salem in a three week span, arguably the two best Division 4 programs in the state over the past five years. Special teams looked sensational. Three punts inside Salem's ten yard line.

E.C. Glass 43, Heritage 36: Slight upset in our opinion. Heritage gets the pleasure of taking on two more AAA teams in its next two games (Fleming & Halifax County).

Radford 20, George Wythe 13: Big early win for Radford. Possible playoff team. The Maroons are looking at an 0-4 start.

Christiansburg 35, Giles 14: We'll find out how good Blue Demons are September 19th at Bassett. Giles should improve in district play.

Hidden Valley 36, Lord Botetourt 30: Season-saving win for Titans. There are still a lot of concerns for the Cavaliers stopping people. 42 on the board against Salem last week, now 36 this week.

Other interesting scores:
Northside 34, Cave Spring 20. The Knights couldn't quite get to 3-0.
Bland 50, Auburn 43. There were 11 players on defense for each team? Right?
