Week 5 pre-game notes

Pre game notes for Week 5:

Christiansburg (2-0) at Bassett (3-0) 7 PM KICK, Highlights & Analysis 11:15 Bengals can't afford to turn it over five times against maybe the most physical team they'll face all season until the playoffs. Blue Demon win would be huge.

Pulaski County (3-0) at Jefferson Forest (3-0) 7:30 KICK, Highlights & Analysis 11:15 The Cougars have dominated this rivalry over the past few years. It's by far the Cavs biggest test of the season so far. Pulaski County looks a little more physical than years past.

William Byrd (2-1) at Brookville (4-0) 7:30 KICK, Highlights 11:15 While the Terriers defense might play well, I just can't see them scoring enough points to win this game.

Magna Vista (0-4) at Gretna (3-0) 7 PM KICK, Highlights 11:15 The Hawks will retire former standout quarterback Vic Hall's number at halftime.

Others to watch:
Northside (2-2) at Salem (2-1) 7:30 KICK, Highlights
Martinsville (1-2) at Liberty (2-1) 7:30 KICK, Highlights: Possible rebound game for Minutemen after loss in Blacksburg.
Rustburg (0-3) at Hidden Valley (1-2), 7:30 KICK, Highlights: This is a match up of arguably the best two under-.500 teams in our area.
Buffalo Gap at James River, 7:30 KICK, Scoreboard: Nice opportunity to see Buffalo Gap, always one of the top Group A programs in the state.
