U.Va. baseball team return event set this evening

CHARLOTTESVILLE -- The University of Virginia baseball team will be welcomed back from the College World Series tonight.

At 6 p.m., the team will be introduced at Davenport Field, and U.Va. coach Brian O'Connor will speak during the ceremony.

Fans will be able to talk to and get autographs from players afterward.

Virginia, the Atlantic Coast Conference champion, finished 49-15-1 after losing to Arkansas last night in Omaha, Neb. The Razorbacks won 4-3 in 12 innings to advance to another elimination game.

Tonight's event at Davenport Field is free. Parking will be available in the University Hall lots, starting at 5 p.m.
