U.S. drops 3rd straight game at hockey world championships

COLOGNE, Germany (AP) - The United States lost its third straight game at the ice hockey world championships, going down 3-2 to Finland on Wednesday.
The Olympic silver medalists, will have to finish in the top two of four teams in the relegation round to avoid demotion.
The last time the U.S. team lost all three games at the worlds was 2003, when the Americans avoided relegation.
In other games, Germany beat Denmark 3-1, Switzerland defeated Canada 4-1 and Latvia downed Italy 5-2.
